Some Ramblings On Modern.
So the format is in a pretty odd place on MTGO.
UR Storm seems to be everywhere (it's fairly powerful and somewhat easy to play while not being too expensive to build (only need 2-4 Steam Vents/Scalding Tarn)).
There's a bunch of random aggro decks and Gifts Reanimator decks, seeing as how Gifts for Rites + fatty is one of the more powerful things you can do, although it seems like you can jam that into any UW deck if you don't mind occasionally having it stranded in your hand.
I suspect Affinity will rise now and then, but it's a bit inconsistent for my taste.
Jund can be tuned to beat specific decks, but overall is probably like a coin-flip vs everything.
If you're Adam Boyd, you could play Elves Combo.
If you're looking for a different creature combo deck, MeliraPod is probably fine for real life play, although I sort of wonder why the deck doesn't have Dark Confidant.
I really dislike the 3-5 color blue control decks. I don't think they do enough and the payoff for running all of those colors is Snapcastering...a Cruel? Great.....

I've played in a few local Modern tournaments with a grixis control deck I borrowed from a friend. It's pretty consistent, I've only lost 1 round with it out of two separate 4 round tournaments due to mulls and flood. The highlights of the deck (don't have the exact list) include teachings, leaks, cryptics, terminate, bolt, snapcasters, damnation, spell pierce, and cruels. Random 1-ofs include Vendilion Clique, Teferi, surgical extraction, tendrils, and Blue Sun's Zenith. It had strong showings vs. RUG Delver(with Punishing Fire pre-ban), Twin, Melira Pod, and UR Storm. I think with Nacatl out of the picture it becomes even more solid, as Zoo was a tough matchup.
